Need for Speed Undercover Confirmed by EA, Maggie Q to Feature!

Its been a while since a new Need For Speed game has been announced! The series is a favorite with racing fans all over the world. The previous two games have not been up to the mark. But now Electronic Arts has sent word about Need for Speed Undercover. The new NFS game will feature actress Maggie Q.

Maggie Q will be playing the role of Federal Agent Chase Linh. She has to recruit and guide players as they go undercover. Gamers have to compete in races and take on dangerous jobs as they gain access to and takedown a ruthless international crime organization. Maggie Q has previously worked in films such as Live Free or Die Hard and Mission Impossible III.

Maggie Q commented, “I’ve always been a fan of racing games and working on Need for Speed Undercover was an amazing experience. I was so impressed by the scope and quality of the overall production that goes into a videogame these days. It was like any other day on a Hollywood set; I felt right at home. The Black Box team is doing tremendous work here and I can’t wait to see the final game.”

Bill Harrison is the Executive Producer of Need for Speed Undercover. He quoted, “Need for Speed Undercover features a deep and engaging story of spectacular Hollywood-style live-action that will transport players into the fictional world of the Tri-City Bay Area. Working with talent the calibre of Maggie Q allows us to deliver an unparalleled level of storytelling that will keep players engaged in between 180-mile-an-hour races.”

NFS Undercover is presently under development at EA’s Black Box Studios in Vancouver, Canada. The racing game will release on the PS2, PS3, PSP, Nintendo DS, Wii, Xbox 360, PC and the mobile platforms. Need for Speed Undercover will release on November 18, 2008 in North America while November 21, 2008 is the day it releases in Europe.
