MotoGP for PS2 to be Published by Capcom

Capcom has stated that they have secured the PlayStation format rights to publish official videogames based on MotoGP. The first game to be published under the terms of this agreement will be MotoGP ’07 (working title).

MotoGP is a multi-million unit selling franchise on PlayStation formats and we look forward to taking it to the next level.”

Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports, who have all the commercial and TV rights to MotoGP, said, “Capcom’s long tradition for innovation and pushing technological boundaries in the quest of delivering high quality entertainment perfectly matches the core values of the MotoGP brand and we’re pleased to be partnering with them.”

MotoGP ’07 for PS2 is expected to release in Autumn 2007. The MotoGP video game series for the PC is one of the best bike racing games around and PS2 gamers would be happy to have this game. The PC and the Xbox 360 version of Moto GP ’07 is being developed by THQ.
