Peggle is noted to be a casual game packed with puzzle elements and initially made its way onto Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X systems back in 2007. Since then, the game has been seen on the DS, mobile, iPhone and iPod. Now players situated in Europe can acquire PopCap’s acclaimed Peggle and Peggle Nights add-on pack from the PlayStation Network. In November last year, Peggle and Peggle Nights packs were available on the PSN (US) and XBLA.

“Peggle has become a cult gaming phenomenon, blowing away our original expectations for the game. We are delighted to bring Peggle to the PlayStation Network in Europe – with these latest game installments, we’re delivering even more features that appeal to Peggle enthusiasts, competitive multiplayer experiences and community elements that the PlayStation Network community really enjoy,” said Ed Allard, vice president of strategic development at PopCap.
The Peggle series is inspired by the classic games of pool, pachinko and pinball. The PlayStation Network version of the title features 55 levels, 10 unlockable Peggle Masters, Duel mode, Quick Play mode and 75 Challenge mode levels. The game also offers two multiplayer options namely Duel mode and Peg Party mode. The Peggle Nights add-on for the PSN is filled with all the challenges and levels plucked right out from the original PC version.
This game offers players 60 levels in exclusive multiplayer modes, Peggle Nights Adventure mode like the Nights story, the trophy room, three new PlayStation Network trophies and adventure statistics. The PlayStation Network adaptations of both the games provide Remote Play capability and XMB support. This inclusion enables players to stream their desired music while indulging in gameplay. It also lets them play the two PopCap titles on the PSP and PSPgo.
Peggle and Peggle Nights add-on packs are priced at €7.99 (approx. Rs.500) and €3.99 (approx. Rs.250) respectively.
