It seems like the retro season is making a comeback as games from the good old days are here to spell their magic. Square Enix has revamped and released Space Invaders Infinity Gene for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 gamers located across Europe and other PAL territories.
Kicking off in its traditional avatar, the game sheds the classic look as players progress in the title while earning points. Embedded with new stages, sound, power ups and exciting features, the graphics of the game evolve from the two-dimensional representation to high-speed side-scrolling action, eventually manifesting full 3D images.
The game allows players to compete against others located across miles in real time. Unlike the earlier version, gamers can now view their rank with Real Time Rankings even while they shoot the devastating invaders. Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners can indulge in the engrossing gameplay as they relive the celebrated moments of early gaming history.
Players who wish to experience this blast from the past can now download Space Invaders Infinity Gene from the Xbox Live Arcade at the price of 800 MS Points.
