THQ and Curious Pictures Join Hands to Produce Deepak Chopra Inspired Games

By creating and publishing games from diverse genres, THQ has been extending varied experiences to the gaming community. Earlier this week, the company announced that MX vs. ATV Reflex will be soon available for PC owners via Steam. It has now been reported that the gaming giant has signed a licensed agreement with Curious Pictures to develop and publish titles based on Deepak Chopra’s teachings.

THQ continues to expand its casual games portfolio and has grand plans to invigorate the lifestyle category with this game,” commented Martin Good, Executive Vice President, THQ Kids, Family, Casual Games, and Global Online Services.

“We are excited to take the Deepak Chopra properties to innovative platforms that appeal to a mass market audience,” beamed Lewis Kofsky, Executive Producer and Partner, Curious Pictures. “We are confident THQ will introduce and bring his work to life in ways that will engage his followers and gamers alike in a whole new way.”

Deepak Chopra has penned down several books as well as addressed audiences on topics related to spirituality and mind-body medicine. According to the developer, the content of these new video games will be derived from ideas asserted by the famous author and public speaker. Expected to arrive on consoles such as the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and Nintendo DS, these titles will be unleashed on XBLA, PSN and the WiiWare for expanding the company’s casual and lifestyle portfolio of games.

The companies have not revealed details regarding the genre, gameplay and other elements of these video games.
