The Walking Dead Episode 5 release date pinned for next week

Telltale Games’ announcement of The Walking Dead Episode 5 release date spells delight for fans of the game who’ve spent more than a month waiting for the final chapter of the season to launch. This episode to the popular title will be doled out next week on all platforms it sells on, including PSN, Xbox Live, PC, Mac and even iOS. This will be the concluding chapter in the first season, and the developer has confirmed that a second season is in the offing as well.

According to a post on the developer’s official blog, The Walking Dead Episode 5 will be launched first through North American PSN on November 20, 2012. The next day, on November 21, it will be seen making its way to European PSN, Xbox Live, App Store, PC and Mac. For the latter two platforms, this chapter will be doled out via the Telltale Online Store as well as Steam to all those who’ve purchased the entire season beforehand.

Dubbed No Time Left!, the fifth episode is set to grant a conclusion to the incredible story that has been built up till now. For folks unfamiliar to the game, it is an episode-based point and click adventure title with a heavy stress on role-playing elements. It presents players with various engaging choices, based on which the ultimate story is shaped up. So, two different gamers may get to see different scenarios that would vary with the decisions they have taken.

The game was launched for the first time through PSN, Xbox Live, PC and Mac in April this year, while its iOS version was released in July. Its second episode titled Starved for Help came out in June. Two months later, its third chapter, Long Road Ahead hit availability status, and it was just last month that the penultimate episode, called Around Every Corner was dished out to eager fans.

Along with the news that The Walking Dead Episode 5 is ready to launch next week, also comes the update that the game has been nominated for the Spike TV VGA TEN awards in a category none other than Game of the Year.
