Catherine is Atlus Persona Team’s upcoming horror puzzle platformer adventure video game for the PS3 and Xbox 360. While the title has been gaining attention for its ‘erotic’ feel, the company is preparing to unleash it at the earliest. Well, the gaming giant has announced pre-order bonus items and the Catherine limited Deluxe Edition while disclosing that the title will storm into stores this July.
Touted to weave terror-filled gameplay around the theme of love, the game has been crafted to enable players make varied relationship choices. These decisions are said to construct future consequences as gamers don the role of Vincent in this narrative. Shrouded by the horrific dread, the character will need to deal with issues such as commitment and fidelity.
The company has designed the Catherine ‘Love Is Over’ deluxe edition which embraces products from the in-game world. These include a pair of Vincent’s polka dot boxers and ‘Empty Hearts’ T-shirt as well as a pillow case. The deluxe edition will be developed to meet pre-order demands alone.
Gamers can also lay their hands on the Catherine Sound Disc & Art Book by pre-ordering either the standard or deluxe edition of the game. Measuring 5.25-inch x 6.75-iunch, this full-color art book comprises artistic character designs by Shingenori Soejima. The pre-order bundle has also been wrapped with an 11-track music CD of the best in-game musical themes remixed by Shoji Meguro.
Catherine has been slated to reach the domain on July 26, 2011 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The standard edition will be available at the price of 59.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,662) while the ‘Love Is Over’ deluxe edition can be purchased by shelling out 79.99 USD (approx. Rs. 3,550).
