Shrek Forever After Game Rides in this May

Shrek along with other well-known characters like Donkey, Puss In Boots and Fiona from the Shrek franchise will soon transport players once again to Far Far Away land. Activision Publishing now announces that Shrek Forever After video game will hit various consoles by May this year.

The game comprises of different locations plucked right out from the Shrek universe as well as new enemies and challenging puzzles. Gamers will be able to morph between the ogre’s alternate reality and real world in order to defeat the crafty Rumpelstiltskin. With the co-operative multiplayer mode, up to four players can gather round and traverse through the captivating game.

The story of Shrek Forever After sees the ogre being tricked by the Rumpelstiltskin only to find himself pulled into an alternate version of Far Far Away where everything is topsy-turvy. Now Shrek must try and restore his world, save his friends and reclaim his love back. Each of the four characters possesses their own unique game skills. In single-player mode, players can switch between the characters when their skills are needed.

Along the game, players can gather coins which can then be used to acquire new upgrades and skills like a megaphone attack, timed blast and disco ball for stunning foes. Also strewn across the levels are permanent health upgrades and secret items. Once players gain level two skills they can then play through the title again to stumble upon new areas and decipher more puzzles.

Shrek Forever After game is developed by XPEC for the Wii, Xbox 360, PS3 and can be acquired for a price of $49.99 (approx. Rs.2,212) on those platforms. Developed by Griptonite for the Nintendo DS, the game will be available for $29.99 (approx. Rs.1,327). The PC version of the title bears a cost of $19.99 (approx. Rs.884).
