Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is an upcoming title in the series, and recently we reported that Ubisoft said the title would release next year. Now Ubisoft has shared a little more information about Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands which is scheduled to release in May 2010 for the PS3, Xbox 360, PSP, Wii, DS and Windows PC.
The game will have a new storyline expanding the Prince of Persia universe, while it introduces new powers over nature and time, as well as new characters. The game is set in a time between the games Prince of Persia: Warrior Within and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
While he is visiting his brother’s kingdom following his adventure in Azad, the Prince finds the royal palace under siege from an army bent on destroying the palace. In the game, the Prince embarks on an epic journey and he will discover that great power often comes at a great cost.
The classic gameplay has been reinvented as players will be able to control nature and time. The game uses the Anvil engine and is set to deliver a blockbuster experience. The versions of the game for the Wii, DS, and PSP will offer a different gaming experience than those on the PS3 and Xbox 360 systems.
