The video games rights of Afro Samurai are with Namco Bandai Games. Now it has emerged that the Afro Samurai game will be released in January 2009.
Afro Samurai is the story of a boy who wants to become the number one warrior. His father was killed by Justice, the man who holds the title of the number one warrior. The game will be following the original series but will have added material and background not only for the fans of the franchise but also the newcomers.
The Afro Samurai game is currently under development for the PS3 and the Xbox 360. The game was expected to release in the autumn of 2008 but now it will release on January 27, 2009. The action adventure game will feature the voice of Hollywood actor Samuel L. Jackson.
