Video games publisher Temco has confirmed Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword for the Nintendo DS. The game is a little different from the other Nintendo DS games, as gamers will hold the handheld on its side, book-style and fight off enemies by using the stylus in an “insightful” combat system.
Yoh Watanabe, Marketing Manager, Tecmo says, “The Nintendo DS will let gamers to control Master Ninja Ryu Hayabusa slash for slash with the use of the DS stylus in a way never possible in previous iterations of the game.”
Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword will also have the Ninpo spells and the magic attacks will be cast using the DS’s touch screen. The game will release in North America in October 2007. A PS3 version, Ninja Gaiden Sigma is also expected to release later this year. The Ninja Gaiden series was very popular on the Xbox. It looks like the PS3 and DS gamers too, will enjoy the game.
