iPhone 15 Pro To Natively Run Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Death Stranding, And More

Assassin's Creed Mirage On iPhone 15 Pro

Among the announcements at the Apple event was a rather astonishing one that said that big AAA games like Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Death Stranding are headed to the new iPhone 15 Pro models.

And it’s not like these are cloud-streaming versions either. Thanks to the highly advanced nature of the Apple A17 Pro chip, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be able to run the games natively.

While Assassin’s Creed Mirage will arrive on the two devices in the first half of next year, Death Stranding, Resident Evil 4 Remake, and Resident Evil Village will go live this year itself.

This is all thanks to the A17 Pro chip that powers the iPhone 15 Pro models. The 3nm SoC supports hardware-accelerated ray tracing thanks to its hexa core GPU that’s 20 percent faster and offers 4 times quicker ray tracing than its predecessor.

This, combined with the fact that it delivers 10 percent faster CPU performance and a 2 times faster Neural Engine, makes it an industry-leading chip in today’s times. As Apple puts it, “It’s the fastest ray‑tracing performance in a smartphone.”

Moreover, the presence of MetalFX Upscaling allows the phones to combine the performance of the GPU and the Neural Engine to produce high‑resolution graphics while using much less power.

The games’ graphics will also be helped by the 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED displays on the iPhone 15 Pro models. These panels are Dolby Vision-rated and offer 2000 nits of peak brightness while supporting Apple’s ProMotion high refresh rate standard.

As we said, while the other games mentioned above will be made available for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max this year, Assassin’s Creed Mirage will only arrive in the first half of next year.
