Sapienza, widely regarded as one of the best Hitman maps of recent times, has been made available for free for a limited time. The map was first featured in the 2016 version of the Hitman trilogy but was overhauled visually in Hitman 3 and that’s the version that’s being offered for free right now.
You don’t have to own any version of the game to be able to play it. It is also being made available through the Hitman 3 Free Starter Pack by Square Enix. You can download it right now and keep playing it until July 4, giving you just over a week to sink your teeth into the brilliant Sapienza level.
IO Interactive has also announced a new Elusive Target mission, moreover. Called World of Tomorrow, it will take place in Sapienza and have you taking out a target named The Twin. It’s going to be active from July 2 through July 14, which means those playing the free version will have access to the Elusive Target mission for two days.
Hitman 3 arrived earlier this year to rave reviews and completed the World of Assassination trilogy that was started by the episodic release of the first game in 2016. Hitman 2 had gave up the episodic release model, releasing all episodes at once. The same release pattern was followed from the latest game from the series.
Hitman 3 is available for the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, Stadia, and Nintendo Switch. Its levels take place in Dubai, Dartmoor, Berlin, Chongqing, and Mendoza, while an epilogue map is set in the Carpathian Mountains, Romania.
The free Sapienza map for Hitman 3 can be accessed for all versions of the game from now up to July 4.
