Evolve gets into alpha mode on October 30

October 30 will mark the date on which the alpha version of Evolve will be released for gamers from all over the world. The upcoming Xbox One, PS4 and PC game will have this early build playable on the Xbox One, but the other two platforms will get it in the following days. This alpha will be called the Evolve Big Alpha, and registrations for it is are currently underway through the title’s official site.

The developers have also announced that players who have already received their invites will be able to pre-load the game to save time for when the alpha becomes available. While Xbox One owners were allowed to pre-load from yesterday onwards, PC gamers will be granted their downloads today. PS4 owners on the other hand, will only be able to pre-load their copies tomorrow.

Turtle Rock Studios, the team know for creating Left 4 Dead is responsible for Evolve which is a unique shooter to be published by 2K Games in February next year. It uses an asymmetrical cooperative/competitive multiplayer model, and pits four player-controlled Hunters against an alien Monster which is controlled by a fifth player.

The game was supposed to be released this month earlier, but its launch was pushed into next year by its makers. It is being built using the fourth generation CryEngine technology, and has already received quite some praise a worldwide gaming events that it has been showcased at.
