Dishonored The Knife of Dunwall DLC release date declared

A release date for the Dishonored The Knife of Dunwall DLC was disclosed by Bethesda yesterday through its official blog, while also revealing details regarding its features and price. It will be launched on April 16 through PSN, Xbox Live as well as Steam, and will sell at 9.99 USD (approx. Rs. 540) or 800 Microsoft Points on the respective platforms. This is all set to be the first story-based content coming the way of the much loved game, following the combat-based Dunwall City Trials which came out in December last year.

Dishonored

The narrative of the Knife of Dunwall DLC for Dishonored revolves around Daud, the evil assassin whom we’ve seen in the main game. It will allow gamers to jump into his shoes, and experience the events within the story through his point of view, including the first level of the title, as seen in the image right below. His journey will include him visiting new locations as well as known ones. Places such as the Rothwild Slaughterhouse will be introduced by the add-on, while players will also get to revisit the decaying Flooded District and more.

Playing as Daud will grant gamers the mark of the Outsider which will render fresh powers. One of them is dubbed ‘Summon Assassin,’ and allows Whalers to be called upon during combat. Another one is ‘Void Gaze’ which allows gamers to track down hidden Runes and Bone Charms. Moreover, variations to old powers will also be introduced by this content, alongside a new array of weapons and gadgets.

Publisher Bethesda has also disclosed that Daud’s story will be concluded by the game’s third and final add-on, named The Brigmore Witches, which is still to receive its launch information. This game had hit the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in October last year amid widespread acclaim for its engaging open-ended gameplay. For those who haven’t played it, it is a stealth-based action-adventure that tells the story of a supernatural assassin named Corvo who is wrongly accused for the murder of the empress.

There’s still about a month’s time to go for the Dishonored The Knife of Dunwall DLC to hit availability status. As for its final add-on, we’ll have more on it when official details are out.
