Heroes from Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors as well as other characters from Ninja Gaiden, Warriors: Legends of Troy, Bladestorm, Trinity: Souls of Zill O’ll and Dead or Alive series’ will form a part of the upcoming Warriors Orochi 3. This title is scheduled to be released across Europe for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on March 30, 2012.
In this new game, heroes of the Three Kingdoms and the Warring States are struggling to take control of the new universe they were thrown into years after the battle against Orochi, the Serpent King. Just then, a huge monster that resembles a serpent with eight heads arrives in the empire, defeating most of its brave warriors. The survivors now travel back through time along with the mysterious Kaguya in order to save fallen heroes and form alliances while also collecting new weapons and building an army to overcome the terrible Hydra.
Ryu Hayabusa, Achilles, Jeanne d’Arc, Nemea and Ayane are some of the new characters that will be seen making their way into this game. A fresh bond system will be introduced through this title, wherein the bonds between characters can be increased by various actions and used to unlock extra attacks and new stages. Moreover, a feature which will enable gamers to customize existing scenarios and share them online will also be seen entering this title.
Three-character tag team, two-player split-screen co-op as well as two-player online Story Mode and Free Mode are some of the other highlights of this offering. New actions like Dash Chain, Counterattack, Support Attack, Switch Combo and True Triple Attack will also be accessible to gamers this time around.
Warriors Orochi 3 will be launched in Europe for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on March 30. Pricing details of this title are yet to be revealed by publisher Tecmo Koei.
