SOCOM 4 to Arrive this April on PS3

After turning heads at E3 2010, SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs created quite a buzz in the gaming domain only to face a delay later. According to a post on the official PlayStation blog, developer Zipper Interactive will unleash the title across North America this April. It also unveils a new ‘Not For Self’ video portraying the PS3-exclusive’s blistering multiplayer mode, enabling gamers’ to peep into the upcoming title.

Unfolding a battlefield in China, this game transforms players into a character referred to as the ‘Ops Commander’. In the title, gamers will have to lead a five member NATO team who are positioned near the Strait of Malacca. With two American and two South Korean operatives under their command, they will have to fight a revolutionary group dubbed the Naga.

Jeremy Dunham from Zipper Interactive has revealed that the developer recently held an event for media persons and community members of the series. Offering a preview of the game, the company facilitated attendees to look into its single-player campaign as well as multiplayer modes.

SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs will hit stores throughout the North American continent on April 19, 2011. Fans who wish to revive memories of the franchise can now visit the official GameStop website for laying their hands on its previous installments. Besides, players will also be able to pre-order the exclusive ‘Abandoned’ map from this online avenue.
