Red Faction: Armageddon Pushed Ahead for a June Release

A couple of days back, THQ dated the arrival of the Red Faction: Armageddon demo on the PSN and XBLA. While gamers are now waiting to lay their hands on this appetizer, the company has announced that the main course will zoom in later than the previously stated date. Well, Red Faction: Armageddon has been delayed to release in June instead of May.

This installment of the Red Faction series unravels the planet of Mars which is now dominated by the colonists. The mundane life of these inhabitants comes under threat following the fear of an alien invasion. At the centre of this chaos stands Alec Mason and Samanya’s grandson, Darius Mason who will need to fight the imminent infestation with dynamic weapons such as the Nano Forge and Magnet Gun.

Red Faction: Armageddon will be launched on June 7, 2011 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Windows PC across the US. Its international shipment too has been deferred to June 10, 2011. Meanwhile, gamers can immerse in the Martian battle through its demo which enters the domain on May 3, 2011. However, owing to the ongoing PSN troubles, the demo’s release on the platform may face a delay as well.
