According to the blog, this game brings together popular elements from the domain including monsters and melee combat. Unfolding an open-world action adventure, the title’s environment has been inundated with the power of swords and sorcery. It features three character classes in the form of Strider, Mage and Fighter along with what has been touted to be ‘a brand-new approach to multiplayer.’ With over 30 hours of gameplay, it is expected to deliver an enriching action adventure experience.

Thanks to the fact that Dragon’s Dogma entails numerous elements like those extended by multitude of other titles such as Monster Hunter, its director Hideaki Itsuno clarified, “While they may have some superficial similarities, they are very different games at heart. One key difference is that Dragon’s Dogma has an overarching story whereas in Monster Hunter the focus is on the hunt.”

He further added, “This is a game that I have wanted to make for many years. I’ve never felt that we had the technology in place to take on a project of this scale. Now, we have consoles powerful enough and a development team at Capcom knowledgeable enough to bring this vision to life.”

During the event, some lucky attendees got a chance to lay their hands on the game’s demo. Reportedly, the demo unleashed a mission wherein gamers were required to face a Griffin in the role of a Strider. This quest is said to have introduced interesting assimilations such as the verdant fields and assaults including a volley of flaming arrows.
