Ubisoft Announces Free DLC for Driver: San Francisco

Driver: San Francisco, which was released by Ubisoft earlier this week, will soon be getting a free DLC to enhance the multiplayer mode of the game. However, this content update will take place only for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game. No mentions have been made about the PC and Wii editions yet. The developer also announced a game-to-web service for the title which has already gone live.

September 15 will see new routes for all online modes being made available for free. Furthermore, in the following ten weeks, ten more routes will be released on a one route per week basis. Ubisoft has also introduced a community service for the title which can be accessed by gamers now. It can be used by them to unlock various exclusive achievements as well as to find and check their stats on leaderboards.

The film director mode in the game can be put to use by players to share their videos online through this service. Moreover, this feature also allows fellow community members to view these videos and rate them. There’s a Driver Social feed which lets gamers follow their friends’ activities. Driver: San Francisco was outed for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii on September 6, 2011. Its PC release is planned for September 27.

The free DLC for Driver: San Francisco which is supposed to add more content in the game’s multiplayer mode will be made available to PS3 and Xbox 360 users on September 15. The console versions of the title currently retail for 49.99 USD (approx Rs. 2,309).
