Boasting of five diverse elemental powers, a teen team has been fighting devious enemies on television screens for several years. This group dubbed Power Rangers is now ready to unravel newer venues as Namco Bandai doffed the covers off its new partnership with Saban Brands. The gaming giant recently announced that it has achieved exclusive rights for producing videogames based on Power Rangers in North America.
“As we kick off the year as the new Namco Bandai Games, strategic partnerships are a key focus for us,” commented Carlson Choi, Vice President of Marketing, Namco Bandai Games America. “Under this new partnership, I look forward to leveraging our strengths and capabilities with Saban Brands to increase our mutual reach with high quality game content. We are definitely excited to bring the Power Rangers series under our roster of titles.”

In accordance with obtained rights, Namco Bandai can develop Power Rangers games for varied systems including home consoles and handheld devices. It has also been revealed that the company will create a title on the next iteration in series namely Power Ranger Samurai. This new tale displays the journey of five newly recruited Rangers who will need to learn the craft and hone their skills under their mentor Ji. They can blend powers derived from Earth, Fire, Water, Forest and Sky with their devoted animal Zords for defeating evil Master Xandred.
With numerous Power Rangers fans religiously following the TV series, it is only a matter of time before we discover if the gaming version will receive as much success.
