InFamous 2 Duality, Morality system detailed

Last year, we reported about what appeared to us as the ‘top 4 cool’ improvements that included parkour mechanics, action sequences and combat mechanics players can look forward to in inFamous 2. According to a recent revelation on the official PlayStation blog, the game will work on a duality-based morality system.

Reportedly, the player’s conscience starts playing its part in the story when NPC characters Kuo and Nix are introduced in the game. Cole is helped by Kuo, a NSA agent, to eliminate the Beast. Whereas Nix is a New Marais native who was brought up in the swamps surrounding the region. Said to be a hedonistic guide who persuades Cole to think about the effects of his acts, Nix is innately governed by the revulsion for Bertrand for killing her family.

Cole will be overwhelmed by the choices that he will have to make while facing multiple crossroads between trusting Kuo or following Nix’s enticements as the game’s storyline progresses. These choices are said to influence the gameplay with an option to turn selfish at any point in inFamous 2. Players who attend the show will be able to experience the Good or Evil variant of the Save Kuo mission.
