Capcom had revealed its ‘Kill Big for Charity’ program for Lost Planet 2 and would donate to charity if 1,000,000 Lost Planet 2 demos were downloaded. There was also to be a celebrity charity tournament. Now Capcom has revealed that Olivia Munn will host the Lost Planet 2 ‘Kill Big for Charity’ launch event and celebrity tournament in Los Angeles on May 6, 2010.
Capcom will donate 20,000 USD to charity if the Lost Planet 2 demo hits 1 million downloads and an additional 5000 USD if the demo is downloaded an extra 500,000 times. The celebrity tournament will be held on May 6, 2010 and will comprise of celebrities, press and community and “super-fans”. They will compete in a variety of Lost Planet 2 multiplayer modes, and the winning team will choose a charity from a list of Music for Relief partnerships.
Community members have been competing for a spot in the tournament, and four lucky community members and Lost Planet 2 super-fans will get spots in the celebrity tournament.
Lost Planet 2 ships to North American stores on May 11, 2010 for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
