Assassin’s Creed Comic Book Mini-Series by Ubisoft Releasing this Fall

Assassin’s Creed has captured the gaming terrain ever since its release three years back. The second installment in the acclaimed series also released to an eager audience and was even bestowed with the Gamer’s Edition Guinness World Record for the category of ‘most cover-featured video game’. Now Ubisoft discloses that an Assassin’s Creed comic book mini-series is already in the making and is scheduled to unveil this autumn.

“We always thought that the Assassin’s Creed universe would be perfect for transmedia initiatives like this new comic series,” commented Mathieu Ferland, transmedia senior producer at Ubisoft Montreal. “We are excited to have the fantastic and acclaimed artists Cameron Stewart and Karl Kerschl working on the project. Ubisoft is looking forward to showing Assassin’s Creed fans what these talented artists have been up to at next week’s Comic-Con panel.”

The upcoming offering is fashioned by acclaimed illustrators Cameron Stewart and Karl Kerschl. The comic book mini-series is to be revealed during a panel held on 22, 2010. The panel is christened as ‘Assassin’s Creed: Behind and Beyond the Brotherhood’ and will divulge details based on the new comic series as well as the forthcoming Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood game release. Among the panelists are Stewart and Kerschl as well as the game’s scriptwriter Jeffrey Johalem. Fans will get a whiff of when and where the new Assassin comic series will be taking place.

The upcoming comic series is noted to be all part of the company’s UbiWorkshop initiative that features projects related to other intellectual properties in entertainment mediums besides video games like comic books and more.
