The Invasion game mode is only available in the Boneyard map and packs in a load of vehicles. The mode is a multi-tiered one which provides a greater choice of weapons and vehicle load-outs in each stage. When asked about Firefight, a mode available in Halo 3: ODST, Bungie’s Chris Carney shrugs off the question saying that Firefight won’t be available in the Halo: Reach beta, but adds he’s “not sure what those guys have planned” for the game when it releases later in the year.

The Halo: Reach beta will also have save films so that players will be able to record, watch and upload them to their file share. And in June at this year’s E3 Bungie will have a lot of “new stuff to show and talk about”, especially the campaign mode.

The Halo: Reach multiplayer beta starts on May 3, 2010 and will only last for a limited time. The beta can be accessed from the extras menu on the Halo 3: ODST disc.
