Playable Characters for Transformers: War for Cybertron revealed

December last year saw Activision announcing that Transformers: War for Cybertron was currently under development with the acclaimed High Moon Studios. Now the company further entices fans of the popular Transformers franchise by disclosing two new playable characters for the upcoming game namely Air Raid and Breakdown.

Air Raid Breakdown

Air Raid is a Scout class Autobot with a Jet chassis. His primary weapon is an EMP Shotgun and has the ability to execute dash and guided missile. Up for a fight anytime, this Autobot is rash and fearless and believes it is more fun to dive in on a group of Decepticons instead of first shooting at them from a distance. Although this very attitude gets him and his teammates in a tight spot, he always manages to get them out of it safely.

Breakdown on the other hand is a Scout class Decepticon whose chassis is a car. His primary weapon is also the EMP Shotgun and abilities include dash and shockwave. Although a formidable warrior, he feels very paranoid while in crowded areas. The Decepticon believes that everyone is trying to harm him and when amidst a crowd, he feels as though they all are staring and judging him. All he wants to do is blend in and carry out the work of the evil Decepticons in ambiguity.

In Transformers: War for Cybertron, gamers are called to witness the final epic war which sees the whole race hanging in the balance. They can take on the role of a Transformer character who is armed with a vast arsenal of high-tech weaponry as well as the ability to toggle between converting from vehicle to robot. The scenarios third person shooter title is based in the Transformers’ war-ravaged homeland. The game comprises of several multiplayer modes and hence enables players to complete mission with friends in drop in/drop out online co-op.

Players can adorn the roles of Air Raid and Breakdown when Transformers: War for Cybertron slides into stores on June 22, 2010 for the PS3, PC and Xbox 360. The exact pricing details are however still hazy at this point.
