Bethesda Softworks to publish Hunted: The Demon’s Forge

Bethesda Softworks is responsible for publishing and developing various games in the past 25 years. Some of its more noteworthy titles include The Elder Scrolls series as well as Fallout 3. Now the company reveals that it would publish a new third-person fantasy action game entitled Hunted: The Demon’s Forge. This co-op title is currently under development at inXile Entertainment.

Since its inception in 2002, inXile Entertainment’s Brian Fargo has brought forth some great fantasy game franchises like The Bard’s Tale, Fallout and Baldur’s Gate. The game in question sees Michael ‘Maxx’ Kaufman at the director’s helm while Fargo is responsible for the overseeing. Kaufman was also noted to be the Art Director of titles such as Redneck Rampage, Kingpin and Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

Vlatko Andonov, President of Bethesda Softworks commented, “inXile has an extremely talented team and we couldn’t be more pleased to have them working on one of our upcoming titles. We believe gamers will be really excited about what these guys have in store for them.”

Brian Fargo, Founder of inXile Entertainment stated, “We are thrilled to be working with Bethesda Softworks on this upcoming release that takes us back to our roots. Bethesda’s track record speaks for itself and the game we are developing for them is no exception.”

Hunted: The Demon’s Forge isn’t the only game in the pipeline from Bethesda Softworks. The company also boasts of exciting upcoming games like Fallout: New Vegas which is the next installment into the renowned franchise. This offering is presently being developed at Obsidian Entertainment. Players can also look forward for titles such as Brink and Rage. The former is a shooter while the latter is observed to be a new first-person title which are under development by Splash and id Software respectively.

No word yet on the pricing or availability of Hunted: The Demon’s Forge. The game is however expected to be compatible with the PS3, Xbox 360 and Games for Windows.
