Earlier this year, Japanese gaming enthusiasts received an exciting dose of action and adventure as Namco Bandai Games released the God Eater video game in the country. Now, D3Publisher has announced that an updated version of the game titled God Eater Burst will reach the North American market in 2011. Both the games have been designed specifically for the PSP system.
According to D3P, this updated title will enhance the God Eater experience with new modifications and superior gameplay. God Eater Burst will incorporate fresh content and features, adding zing to the storyline as humans fight their battle to survive in the post-apocalyptic world.
Peter Andrew, Vice President of Development, D3P, elucidated, “The original God Eater sold over half a million copies in under three weeks. In direct response to feedback from gamers, development team Project G.E. decided to go a step further and create an enhanced version of the game, God Eater Burst, and it is the ultimate version of an already incredible experience that fans will enjoy.”
Gamers in the North American continent will have to face the horrifying and mysterious Aragami by donning the God Eaters’ avatar. In this struggle to safeguard the human world from mutant beasts, players can gain support from the God Arc weapons and the God Eaters.
The title enables gamers to customize the look of their own hero and collect numerous items along the way. These items will help them to modify their arsenal of weapons, guns, bullets and shields, augmenting their strength and endurance levels which is said to assist them during colossal fights.
The speed of gameplay has been enhanced to allow players plunge their vigor in more than twice the missions covered in the original title. In this new chapter, gamers will have to swiftly concoct their plans and rapidly change weapons to shoot, hack and destroy varied threatening forces. To inflict powerful assaults on the opponent, players can tailor the strength, patterns and elemental type by customizing bullets.
God Eater Burst also features a Burst Mode wherein players will be able to initiate strong attacks on their rivals by boosting their stats and special bullets. PSP owners can indulge in multiplayer gaming experience with up to four AI controlled partners. By connecting their PSP system to PS3 consoles, gamers can play in an online cooperative mode employing adhocParty.
The company will reveal more information about God Eater Burst in the coming months. The pricing of the title has not been disclosed yet.
