After an Amazon expedition and tryst with destiny in China, Nathan Drake is now en route to the Arabian Desert for another thrilling adventure. Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced to unveil a new chapter from the life of the fortune explorer in Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.
Designed to extend a realistic cinematic experience, this title is said to blend adrenaline pumping chases with an exciting quest and mystery. The game has been infused with new combat measures including contextual melee attacks, new stealth options and hand-to-hand fight whereas the horizon of original gunplay has been broadened. Further stretching the Uncharted series, it will bring in a refined multiplayer experience for gamers as they commence their journey towards ‘Atlantis of the Sands’.
This installment reunites Drake with mentor and friend Victor Sullivan while pitting them against a mystifying deceit pulled off by an anonymous and covert organization. In the game, as horrific secrets of the land come to surface, the lead character’s treasure hunt turns into a survival mission. It has been stated that this title tests Drake’s endurance level and also brazens him out against personal fears.
Plugged as an explosive adventure, this narrative has been knit together with stereoscopic 3D visuals and a stunning environment. This game will boast of fresh innovations through dynamic sand, smoke, water and fire effects. The single player mode has been complemented with competitive and co-op multiplayer campaigns while the title also joins the online bandwagon for gamers hooked onto the web. According to a post on the PlayStation blog, more details about the game will be disclosed in the December 17 issue of Entertainment Weekly.
While replying to a query on the post, Arne Meyer from developer Naughty Dog uncovered that as the game’s production is currently underway, the team is ‘still a long way’ from unleashing it.
