The next Star Wars chapter is touted to offer the better elements of its previous installations along with an entirely new gameplay. It will lend players head-to-head combat abilities, accommodate fresh new battle modes as well as an upgraded level builder. This will permit the creation of in-game battlefields and customized bases.

“LucasArts is an amazing partner, and working with them on the next iteration of the Lego Star Wars series continues to be a great experience. The team at TT is working hard at making this simply the best Lego game ever with all new gameplay and features never before seen in a Lego game,” commented Tom Stone, director at TT Games.

The Clone Wars will feature every character from both seasons of the eponymous animated TV series as also popular characters from the theatrical Star Wars Saga. Gamers will be able to take on the role of a Jedi or Separatist with skills like Lightsaber slicing, Lightsaber jumps, Squad Command, Grapple Tie-Ups and long distance Jedi attacks within an easily navigable hub.

“LucasArts continues to set the bar for next-generation family entertainment,” declared Darrell Rodriguez, president, LucasArts. “The Lego Star Wars franchise is a massive hit with fans, bringing in sales of over 20 million units worldwide. We’re thrilled to extend this experience to Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, delivering the humour and fun players expect from this award winning franchise.”
