Sega Ropes in Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston for Thor: God of Thunder

The folks over at Sega seem to be inundated with numerous projects. Recently, the company announced a new title dubbed Binary Domain while it prepares to unleash some highly anticipated games. The gaming giant has now disclosed that actors Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston will render their voice for an upcoming video game titled Thor: God Thunder.

“Bringing in Chris and Tom to star in Thor: God of Thunder gives us AAA talent that will create a truly cinematic interactive experience. Mighty Thor and the trickster Loki will face off with real emotion while giving fans visual and vocal continuity between the video game and film adaptations of the Marvel franchise,” enunciated Gary Knight, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Sega Europe and Sega America.

Touted to be based on the Thor series of comic books and movies, this title allows gamers to come face-to-face with beasts and adversaries from distinct worlds of Norse mythology. Players can fight their way to victory by combing effective strategies and elemental powers. In addition, with Thor’s popular hammer namely Mjolnir, they will be empowered to dominate wind, thunder and lightning powers. Lastly, the company has involved Matt Fraction as a story consultant to enhance the authenticity of the game.

Thor: God of Thunder is expected to arrive in the gaming domain for all major platforms in the spring of 2011.
