New DLC, Special Edition for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Revealed by LucasArts

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed created gaming history when it managed to sell more than 1.5 million copies in less than a week. Now, LucasArts has announced that it will release new DLC for the game along with a Star Wars The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition.

In Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, players assume the role of Darth Vader’s ‘Secret Apprentice’ who possesses a massive amount of powers. The Tatooine Downloadable Content will feature a new ‘Infinities’ storyline where the Secret Apprentice has killed Darth Vader and usurped his place in the emperor’s court. He is then sent by the emperor to the dangerous planet of Tatooine to execute Obi-Wan Kenobi. Gamers will get a chance to explore the palace of Jabba the Hutt and fight the bounty hunter Boba Fett as they try and find the elusive Jedi.

The Ultimate Sith Edition will feature three new levels and will explain the events that occurred between the two well-known Star Wars movie trilogies. Additional content includes the Tatooine and Coruscant based levels that were previously available only as direct downloads. The special edition will also feature an all-new exclusive level which will conclude the Infinities storyline told in the Tatooine mission. In this special level, the apprentice makes his way to planet Hoth on a mission to squash the Rebellion for good. The apprentice better look out as he might face off against the legendary Luke Skywalker himself.

The new DLC will be available for PS3 and Xbox 360 this fall while the Ultimate Sith Edition will hit retail stores for Xbox 360 and PS3 this holiday season. The exact prices and release dates for the DLC and special edition have not been announced. An internet connection would be required to access PS3 bonus content.
