The title is packed with cartoon visuals, fast platform-based gameplay, new environments and updated graphics.

Martin Schneider, European Marketing & PR Director at Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH. stated, “Konami’s classic 2D action platform titles have a legacy of being well received and enjoyed by gamers worldwide. So it was only natural that we bring Sparkster, our favorite opossum hero, to the next generation consoles with a combination of elevated graphics, all new environments and of course the signature rocket action gameplay.”

Gamers take on the role Sparkster in the upcoming title. After 15 long years he comes back to The Kingdom of Zephyrus and is surprised to find it in ruins. Armed with just a rocket pack and his wits, the hero must face against a hostile wolf army who are bent on doing away with the inhabitants of Zephyrus. The action adventure game offers players new worlds to explore with each filled with enormous platform levels and even a rocket flying level.

The rocket pack of Sparkster allows him to bounce off walls in the challenges, throwing him past foes, obstacles and weak walls. To fend off the enemy, the opossum is armed with a sword that shoots projectiles and a burst vortex formed from the rocket pack which helps repel enemy bombs. He can also use his trusty tail slide and hang from in times of danger. Gamers will be able to share their fasted times and high scores online as there are timed levels and leaderboards within the game.
