Damnation is the game which is based on Steampunk culture featuring vast open areas, and Hollywood-style acrobatics and stunts. Now Codemasters announces that Damnation launches today May 22, 2009 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The game’s online experience with new multiplayer gameplay can now be previewed from the game’s official site.
The Damnation multiplayer gameplay video features some of the best multiplayer moments that players can experience in four different vertically twisted multiplayer modes, Capture the Flag, Deathmatch, King of the Hill and Team Deathmatch. Each game supports up to eight players who can attack from any direction in the game’s vertically themed levels.
In the game, players step into the boots of hero Captain Hamilton Rourke and press on to uncover the truth behind W.D. Prescott’s, Prescott Standard Industries. Players battle against soldiers enhanced with certain drugs as well as mechanical creatures powered by steam.
In the game’s single player mode, split-screen and drop-in-drop-out gameplay is featured as players make their way through landscapes in large-scale levels, featuring up to 3 hours of gameplay for each level. Damnation also has vehicle based stunts and frenzied combat with the background provided by the lush open environments.
Damnation is developed by Blue Omega Entertainment, published by Codemasters and will release for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Windows PC. The game releases in the UK, the Middle East, across Continental Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia.
