Activision Gets All Star Cast for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Video Game

Previously, Activision had revealed a Revenge of the Fallen game. Now with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, the live action movie set to release this June Activision Publishing has got together an all-star cast for the upcoming video game Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Actors Shia LeBeouf and Megan Fox are set to reprise their roles in the game, with favorites Peter Cullen as the voice of Optimus Prime and Frank Welker as the voice of Megatron from the original animated series.

“Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen features an extensive line-up of film actors, along with the voice talent that fans will recognize from the classic animated series,” Rob Kostich, head of marketing for licensed properties, Activision Publishing remarked. “The diverse cast allowed us to not only capture the epic storyline from the film, but also seamlessly expand the fiction to create a unique and authentic Transformers experience that fans of all ages will enjoy.”

Besides LeBeouf and Fox, the voice actors on board for the game are Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime, Charles Adler as Starscream, Jess Harnell as Ironhide, Mark Ryan as Bumblebee, John Di Maggio as Sideways, Robert Foxworth as Ratchet, as well as James Arnold Taylor as The Fallen.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is based on the live action movie of the same name which is set to release this June and will allow players to embody their favorite Autobots or Decepticons, each having their own characteristic abilities and weapons. The game has parts set in locations such as Shanghai and Cairo, and lets players switch between robot and vehicle modes in a flash. For the first time in a Transformers game, players will be able to duel it out with friends in all-new online multiplayer modes.

Transformer: Revenge of the Fallen, the video game is still in the development stages. The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions are being developed by Luxoflux, while the PC version is being worked on by Beenox Studios, and the Wii and PS2 versions are getting made by Krome Studios. The two unique Autobot and Decepticon versions of the game for the Nintendo DS are being developed by Vicarious Visions and the PSP version of the game is in development with Savage Entertainment.
