Alan Wake from Remedy to feature Motion Capture Technology

Remedy Entertainment, the studio behind the two Max Payne games, has been working on the Xbox 360 title Alan Wake since 2005, even before the Xbox 360 was launched. The game was many times speculated to be vaporware, but now Alan Wake seems to be back on track as DevelopMag reports that Remedy has announced a partnership with motion capture studio Imagination Studios to work on the game.

Speaking about the partnership with Imagination Studios, Executive Producer at Remedy Entertainment, Lasse Seppänen remarked that “it is with great pleasure that we can recommend Imagination Studios. Remedy has been extremely pleased with their co-operation and devotion in bringing the characters of Alan Wake to life.”

Alan Wake follows a best-selling writer who has been facing a long dry spell and to refresh him with some creativity, his wife takes him to the small town of Bright Falls. There his latest thriller comes to life when his wife mysteriously vanishes and Alan Wake finds himself trapped in a nightmare. Rockstar had previously announced that Remedy will not be working on the third Max Payne game, leaving their hands free to work on other projects. Alan Wake is being developed for the Xbox 360 and Windows Vista, and as of now no prices or release dates have been revealed.
