Prison Break video game to be published by Deep Silver

Deep Silver, the video game label of Koch Media, has announced that it has signed a license agreement with Twentieth Century Fox Licensing and Merchandising, in regard to the worldwide publishing rights to a Prison Break video game.

“The ingenious plots and fast action of “Prison Break” thrill TV audiences around the world, and provide the ideal basis for a video game,” stated Dr. Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Koch Media. “The game will offer the same blend of action and suspense as the show, appealing to fans of the series as well as video gamers.”

“Who doesn’t love the thrill of a prison break? It’s a great basis for any video game, but even better when utilizing the intricate storyline and colorful characters created for the Fox series,” commented Gary Rosenfeld, Senior Vice President of New Media for Fox Licensing.

The storyline of Prison Break the video game, runs parallel to the first season of the TV series. In the game, Company agent Tom Paxton is sent to Fox River State Penitentiary to investigate why a first time offender, Michael Scofield has gotten himself into such deep trouble. Paxton comes face to face with many of the TV series characters, and using his extreme stealth and climbing skills, he explores several locations of the series.

Prison Break, the video game is developed by Zootfly and is scheduled to be released for the PC and next gen consoles. Prices and exact release dates are not known at this point.
