X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the video game was released on May 1, 2009 for the PS2, PS3, PSP, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo DS and Windows PC. Now publisher, Activision has made known that downloadable content for the Uncaged Edition of the game is available for the Xbox 360 and PS3, from the Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Store.
The Weapon X Arena, included with a pre-ordered copy of the game, can now be downloaded by players and the level contains four “unique combat simulators”. The Ladder Challenge room is unlocked after players have faced all the enemies in the game. Players must survive fifty waves of creatures, which start off with small enemy types and enemy numbers and get larger and increasingly difficult.
In the Custom Combat Arena players can create any combination of enemies to go up against, including Machine Gunners, Jungle Grapplers and more. Also included is the Environmental Simulator which features different environmental weapons that players can use to inflict damage upon enemies. Various environmental weapons such as forklift skids, tree branches and computer consoles are available to throw at and smash into enemies.
Another room is featured in the Weapon X Arena, with improved enemy reactions. The Weapon X Arena DLC can be downloaded from the Xbox Live Marketplace for the Xbox 360 for 800 Microsoft Points and from the PlayStation Store for the PS3 for 9.99 USD (approx. Rs. 470).
