Here is a brief description of multiplayer mayhem and single player story information for the upcoming Gears of War 2.
The COG army is coming, better oil those triggers because this ferocious beast of game that arrives on the Xbox 360 offers much more than your regular run of the mill multiplayer games this season. From the numerous viddys that have been gathered from E3 and other showcasing by yours truly Cliff Blezenski, the multiplayer portion of the game is varied and diverse than the original one and offers tons and tons of hours on Xbox Live.
All your envious buddies (Read Resistance Chimera scum) that gasped and cried for an experience such as this are going to feel even more discouraged when the hold a copy of the game that is probably going to run a tag called “A poor man’s Gears of War” once again.
The single player campaign has tons and tons of new armory to it as Kotaku has an interesting list of weaponry on display here are a few to make all Gear heads salivate with envy and vie for the game prior to its release.
Mulcher: It’s like a mini machine gun. You have hold down the left trigger at regular intervals to cool it down and jam the right trigger to splatter the flying chunks of meat all across the screen.
Troika Cannon: BFG anyone?
APC: Abbreviation for the “Armored Personnel Carrier”, Star Wars addicts may recall a certain object titled the Jawa Sandcrawler. Others are required to look it up on George Lucas’s dictionary for Non Geekoids from a galaxy far far away.
Assault Derrick: A huge carrier for the COG army. Halo 3 had something similar, we shall leave this to all Spartans to figure this one out.
These were the most interesting of the lot, and there are of course the flamethrowers and grenades that blast your enemies into pulp. Hey did we forget the Lancer somewhere ‘cause that weapon still rocks.
