There are many action games on the Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA), but there are not many such games on the PlayStation Network (PSN). But now Frozenbyte and Nobilis have announced Trine, a fantasy action game. Besides making it to the PSN, the game will be released on the PC platform.
Lauri Hyvarinen is the chief executive officer of Frozenbyte. He says, “Trine is a true testament to Frozenbyte’s new strategy focusing on original IP. We cannot wait to have the game released on the PlayStation Network and PC. Nobilis has been a great partner to us all these years and we look forward to combining our efforts even more closely to make a great game!”
Arnaud Blacher, chief executive officer, Nobilis Group commented, “This is the first game we publish on the PlayStation Network and we are thrilled to work with Frozenbyte on this very exciting game project!”
Trine sees gamers make and use physics-based objects to beat perilous puzzles and menacing enemies. The game features three heroes and each of them has a different ability. In fact, the gamers can select whoever is best suited for the impending puzzle or challenge. The three characters are the Wizard, Thief and Warrior.
Trine is being developed by Frozenbyte. The action game is expected to be out in the second quarter of next year. They have also put up a trailer of the game on the official website. From the trailer, one can make out that Trine sure looks promising.
