Gamers who are eagerly waiting for Metal Gear Sold 4 to release, rejoice! Konami Digital Entertainment has revealed that presently they have planned Metal Gear Solid: the Essential Collection for the PS2. Konami wants gamers to plunge themselves in the Metal Gear Solid universe before the launch of MGS 4.
What is expected to be in the Metal Gear Solid: the Essential Collection for the PS2? Well, it will include the original Metal Gear Solid for the PlayStation game console along with the director’s cut of Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3. All this will come in a special package. The artwork has been done by the well-known Metal Gear Solid artist Yoji Shinkawa.
Anthony Crouts is the vice president of marketing for Konami Digital Entertainment. He quoted, “Since its inception, the Metal Gear Solid franchise has been one of the most successful game series in the history of video games, receiving worldwide recognition and praise. Metal Gear Solid: The Essential Collection represents an enormous value for gamers, bringing together three must-have classic titles which pioneered the stealth action genre.”
Usually special packages for video games come with a very big price tag. However, the Metal Gear Solid: the Essential Collection for the PS2 is not that expensive as it sells for a suggested retail price of $29.99 (approx. Rs. 1200). It is a nice thing that Konami is bringing out the Metal Gear Solid: The Essential Collection for PS2. They have high hopes for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and feel that the game should sell a million copies on launch day.
