Some games are very visually appealing, but in terms of gameplay they are average or sometimes above average. One such game is Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, which was a PS3 exclusive that was released last year. Though it was commended for the great graphics and sold lots of copies, the action adventure game did not do as well as it was expected to by Sony.
Still publishers Sony Computer Entertainment are backing the game as a huge franchise. On the official PlayStation Blog, Arne Meyer, who is the senior manager of marketing communications at Naughty Dog has revealed that they are working on the sequel, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.
Naughty Dog were the developers of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. Though Meyer didn’t reveal anymore information on the sequel, the executive did mention that more details would trickle in a few days. Though a teaser for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is up on GameTrailers, the first trailer of the sequel will be showcased at the 2008 SpikeTV Video Game Awards.
