  • Along with the initial song list, Activision has made more important announcements regarding Guitar Hero III. They have said that Guitar Hero III will have new wireless guitar controllers offered for each platform. Not only that, the controllers will feature detachable faceplates, which will let fans personalize their guitars. Along with that, the controllers will have a new, integrated button color design.

If you are a next-gen gamer, i.e. if you buy a PS3 or an Xbox 360 or a Wii version of the game, you will be rocking on Gibson Guitar’s Les Paul model. And if you are planning to go for the PS2 version, you will have the classic Kramer guitar from Gibson.

Coming to the gameplay, Activision has stated that they have added an incredible number of new features along with explosive content. There is a novel multiplayer action-inspired battle mode, demanding boss battles, a multitude of exclusive unlockable content and genuine rock venues. The multiplayer modes will allow gamers to compete online against other gamers worldwide. But it is not clear that all the multiplayer modes will have online functionality.

Dusty Welch, Head of Publishing, RedOctane said, “The development team at Neversoft has been excellent, and we’ve been able to add in a host of fresh new online and multi-player game play modes, along with stimulating content into this version of Guitar Hero that our fans have been asking for. Also, many of the top bands and songs we have tried to get in the past are now on board, and we have certainly got some giant aces in the hole to say the least.”

Guitar Hero III is scheduled to release for the PS2, PS3, Wii and the Xbox 360 in Fall 2007. The initial song list seems great and gamers will now be singing, “I wanna Guitar Hero III all night…!”
