Eurogamer is reporting that Tomb Raider: Anniversary could release on May 25, 2007 for the PS2, PSP and the PC. Eidos had earlier indicated that the game could release in May 2007.
Tomb Raider: Anniversary has been inspired by the first Tomb Raider videogame, originally released in 1996. However, this game will use an enhanced ‘Tomb Raider: Legend’ game engine which will offer better graphics, technology and physics. The game was supposed to release in 2006, but was delayed and now the game will launch next month.
Tomb Raider: Anniversary has been developed by Crystal Dynamics. Eidos has not revealed whether the PS2 version of this new Lara Croft game will be compatible with the PlayStation 3. Keep watching this space for more details.
