Yesterday, we had reported that Halo 3 could release in September 2007. Now Microsoft has confirmed that the shooter game will release this autumn (or fall, if you are North American). They also stated that Halo 3 would launch in 3 editions, Standard, Limited and Legendary.
Details of the Halo 3 Edition:
The Standard Edition will consist of the “Halo 3” game, the highly anticipated third chapter to one of the greatest gaming trilogies. It is priced at $59.99 (approx. Rs 2700).
The Limited Edition will come in a sleek metal collector’s case and include a bounty of extras like a bonus disk as well as a special “Halo” fiction and art book. This edition is priced at $69.99 (approx. Rs. 3100).
The Legendary Edition will be released in limited quantities. It will ship in a highly collectible Spartan helmet case and will have two bonus disks full of additional content. The first disk will have exclusive, behind-the-scenes footage and videos while the second disk, which is exclusive to the Limited edition, will have completely remastered cinematic material from Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 as well as exclusive content from the creative team. The Legendary Edition will also have an illuminating collection of original “Halo 3” storyboard art from artist Lee Wilson, portraying key moments and crucial scenes from the epic cinematic production of “Halo.” It will cost $129.99 (approx. Rs. 5700).
Finally, the Halo 3 details are out and fans have something to await, as previously they were waiting in the dark as to when the game would be released.
