It is finally confirmed! The much-awaited PlayStation game Warhawk will not have a single-player functionality. Instead, the game will be a multiplayer and will be available as a download-only for the PS3 from the PlayStation Store.
David Wright, Technical Art Director, Incognito says, “One interesting and good side effect of making the choice to go multiplayer. We have a pool of assets of other vehicles, of other towns, of other things that we can pull from and actually use to offer–if Sony wants it, if it’s successful–expansion packs.”
It will utilize the PS3’s Sixaxis motion-based controls, but it will be an option for gamers rather than a requirement. The game will support 32 players online and will contain a devoted server option for those gamers, who wish to run their own Warhawk servers.
Warhawk was fun to play on the PSOne, but there was not a proper multiplayer option at that time. But now, Warhawk fans can surely fulfill their appetite to play with fellow fans.
