The year 2007 may have seen many game releases, but gamers will also remember it as a year when most of the games were delayed! CVG is reporting that the highly anticipated shooter from Pandemic Studios, Mercenaries 2: World in Flames has been delayed. The game will now release in 2008.
As you all know, Mercenaries 2: World in Flames was being developed for the PS2, PS3, Xbox 360 as well as the PC platforms and was supposed to release some time later this year. It seems the game has been delayed, but EA has not officially spoken about it. A representative from Pandemic Studios has come out and stated, “We’ve made no announcements at this time regarding a final release date for Mercenaries 2: World in Flames.”
There are reports that online retailers are listing the release dates of Mercenaries 2: World in Flames as April 1, 2007. When we visited Gamestop, it listed Mercs 2 release date as “Ships 04/01/08”. We will be keeping tabs on this story, keep watching this space for more updates.
