Microsoft Game Studios has sent word that the Gears of War Hidden Fronts Map Pack will be available free from next week. Annex gametype and Multiplayer Map Pack 1 from Gears of War are already available as free downloadable content.
The Gears of War Hidden Fronts Map Pack has four dynamic areas, Bullet Marsh, Garden, Process and Subway, each of which has a unique challenge. Microsoft also stated that the Hidden Fronts Map Pack has clocked nearly 500,000 downloads making it the number one piece of premium downloadable content on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
The Gears of War Hidden Fronts Map Pack will be available as a free download from 10 AM (GMT), Monday, September 3, 2007. A PC version of the game is also scheduled to release later this year and it will have extra content. Let’s hope Microsoft changes its mind and provides that content as a download for the Xbox 360 gamers.
