This application will also be integrated with the company’s SkyDrive feature which will allow users to store music and playlists on the cloud, hence letting them access it via multiple devices. The website also reveals that Microsoft is contemplating on making this service available across other OS’ that include the likes of iOS and Android, but apps for these will not be doled out immediately, it says. Besides, an Xbox dashboard update is also on the cards currently to provide support for the new feature on the console.

Lastly, both the Music and Video apps for Windows 8 will be updated to be compatible with Xbox Music, and this is expected to happen anytime around the launch of the much awaited software which is planned to release on October 26. We’ll have more about the service when Microsoft decides to go official about it.
