It is the official simulation of the intense bicycle racing competition and allows gamers to race through the 21 official legs of the 2009 tour. Players can choose from any of the 18 Pro Teams while they travel through steep mountains, coastlines and forests that make up the beautiful landscape featured in the game.
Sprinting, fighting for jerseys and early breakaways will help players overcome their opponents and they can even take direct control of their cyclists during the time-attack phases. Players can give live orders to their teams and think of an apt strategy to employ while on a race leg.
Tour de France 2009 is developed by Cyanide and is now available to Xbox 360 owners on the Xbox Live Arcade Marketplace for 800 Microsoft Points. The game also gives the option to play against others online or against an opponent on the same system.
